Allston and Brighton are separate neighborhoods to the west of Brookline. They are often referred together in the same breath as “Allston/Brighton” because of the similarities in living, culture, and proximity.
The two neighborhoods are often the most economical option for people that want to live in Boston. There is a thriving student population in the area due to the price and quick commute to Harvard, BC, and BU. The common style of living quarters is a three floor townhouse known as a “triple decker”. To get into Proper Boston, you could take I90 or the convenient green line subway car.
